The notebooks

March 22, 2022

The plate (“plaka”) with the “kondyli”, around 1950, is replaced by quadrille notebooks, and later by notebooks divided in painting and writing theme, all covered in blue paper. Notebooks from the 60s are plastic monochrome, usually blue, and have a plastic – protected label. There, students wrote their name, for what subject were they using it for, and their class. There were notebooks for every subject and the famous “worksheet” or “clipboard” for all uses. The students tried to keep them clean and tidy because the teacher’s used to say, “The notebook is the student’s mirror”.

Later, appeared notebooks with colored covers and pictures.
