In the old day, the school bag/ satchel was called “saka”. The best satchels were the leather one with two straps (or buckles) that “hugged” the bag and “locked” its contents.
Inside the satchel they put the books, the notebooks, the box with the pencils, the pens, the eraser, and the sharpener.
In the first days, students paid attention to their satchel, but little by little the enthusiasm was gone, and the wear and tear came. Many times, it even has become the subject of students’… pioneering artistic pursuits, long before graffiti was invented!!!
