On Saturday, June 22, 2019, in the park of Apidanos Springs in Farsala, in the context of the operation of the School Museum, was held with great success the planned event “Let’s play traditionally”. The event was a co – organization of the Association of Argitheates of Farsala Province and the Active Citizens of Farsala with the support of the regional municipality. Under the guidance of the gymnast Vivi Tselepidi, who also had the general supervision and coordination of the games, over 200 children who participated in the action, all managed to play and test their skills, despite their inexperience after seeing these old games for the very first time. In addition, “older” children were present in the event and with great enthusiasm demonstrated to the little ones how to throw the whirlpool or how to play the game “gkila”. The games presented were: “triota”, “koutso”, “melissa”, whirlpool, marbles, “kouratzelia”, “eptapetro”, “milakia”, “dielkistinda”, “shinaki”, and “gkila”. It was a beautiful journey to past memories, when children had free space to play. When there were no toys for children and parents made them handmade toys with simple materials. Overall, it was a very successful event that exceeded all expectations.
